Claire Merkle

I am a graphic designer and was born and raised in Northern Kentucky, but moved south for college in Louisville. I now call Lexington my home. I earned a bachelor’s in fine arts from the University of Louisville’s Communication Art & Design Program. I previously worked as an intern and freelance designer for Saatchi & Saatchi X in Cincinnati, and an independent freelancer. I have been with the Cabinet for Economic Development three years.

My favorite part about design is the process.  Even though I love showing my finished work, I like go back through old files and versions just to see how the final product emerged. Outside of design, I love to knit, bake, drink coffee, and watch TED Talks for inspiration.
